Fitness and Health Promotion students and faculty, along with Professor Kristen Hayes of the Developmental Services Worker program and her students, recently partnered up with local fitness promotion guru Tony Greco to hold a day-long Aerobathon at Algonquin College to raise money for the Childhood Obesity Foundation.

“Over 24 second year FHP students were coordinated by myself to lead a “military boot camp” theme class,” explains Professor Pierre Chartier of the Fitness and Health Promotion program. “First year students of DSW were encouraged by myself and Kristen to attend and to collect pledges for the cause. Over $2,000 has been raised (and still counting). This was a successful showcase of our FHP leadership abilities, the enthusiasm and kindness of DSW first year students, and a wonderful way to “give back to the community”.”
