This week’s back to school blog post is courtesy of the friendly and helpful staff in the library!
Come to the library for help and academic support from real people! The Algonquin College Library, also known as the Learning Resource Centre, is available to support you in all your academic needs.
Your up-to-date student card is your library card! Visit the library to borrow books, CD-ROMs, VHS tapes and DVDs, reserve material, laptops, netbooks and other devices. Remember to check out our new book display as we are receiving new material every week!
With online access to over 80,000+ academic journals, magazines , newspapers, e-books and videos, you can be confident that you can find what you need when you need it. Easily access our electronic resources off-campus through your automatic library account – your user ID is your student number and your PIN is the last four digits of your student number (ie. User ID 040123456, PIN 3456).
Having difficulties getting started? Are you stuck in the middle of your research or having problems finding that one last perfect article? Stop by the library for one-on-one help and guidance. Can’t make it in? No problem! Contact us by telephone or e-mail. On September 17th, research assistance goes digital with our real-time virtual reference service “Ask the Library”. Chat with us from anywhere!
Whether you want to catch up or get ahead, visit the Library’s website to find: Research tips, subject guides specific to your studies, software and skill development tutorials, guides on citation, copyright, and much more!
The Library has three locations to serve you in rooms 335 in Pembroke, 117 in Perth, and in C205 in Woodroffe. For contact information and operating hours, consult the website at www.algonquincollege.com/lrc/contactus.htm
