At a ceremony early Tuesday Afternoon, Chris Hahn, Academic Chair for the School of Transportation and Building Trades received the keys to a 2008 Lexus LS600H donated by Lexus Canada. The vehicle worth approximately $145,000 will be used for educational purposes by the students in Algonquin College’s motive power programs. “The donation of this vehicle will help our students stay current especially given this vehicle’s new hybrid technology.” stated Chris Hahn. Neil Donnelly, Sales Manager of the new Tony Graham Lexus dealership on Hunt Club Road presided over the ceremony and handed the keys to the vehicle to Mr. Hahn. Lexus Canada has previously donated a number of vehicles to the College’s motive power programs. Algonquin College offers a 45 week, post-secondary Motive Power Technician program along with six automotive Apprenticeship programs.
